Hair Will Not Grow? Damaged Hair?

November 2017

Radio host Nikki Reed (WZPL Smiley Morning Show) is doing something about her damaged hair:

Nikki, from WZPL’s Smiley Morning Show (99.5 FM) is tired of her hair not growing and being damaged. Nikki recently visited Transitions of Indiana for a hair restoration consultation and then started an FDA approved Laser Hair Therapy program. Laser hair therapy is a safe, proven, and effective treatment for damaged or thinning hair. In addition to the Laser Hair Therapy, she is also receiving hair & scalp treatments customized to help achieve her goals for her hair!

Interview with Nikki – in her own words:

Why did you go to Transitions? “Dying my hair is something that, for me, it’s a lot of fun. It’s kind of my personality on the radio, but I definitely didn’t realized how far it could wreck my hair. It been, oh, I don’t know, close to a year I been waiting for it to grow, and now I’m realizing that there is a lot more that needs to be done to it, but I’m happy that I have a solution at Transitions.”

What was your consultation like? “Melissa kind of ran her fingers through my hair, she checked my scalp, and then one of the things I thought was really cool was she showed me a chunk of blown up fake plastic scalp that she would show you… ‘Here’s what a hair follicle looks like when it’s healthy, and here’s what it looks like when it’s not’.”

Level of technology? “Then, another cool thing was she used this camera to look really, really close to my scalp at all the individual pieces of hair, and I got to see where my healthy hairs were, and some damaged hair, and the new hair growth, and it was really, really interesting.”

How were you treated at Transitions? “I was so impressed with the idea that they cared as much as the patient would care about the hair, and what it makes you feel like to have really good hair, and the hair that you’re confident about. When I was getting ready to leave, we had done by hair consultation, and Melissa gave me a huge bag of awesome hair products to try, to already start using before my first treatment even began. I already had a solution in my hands before all of the other fantastic things that we were gonna do. I’ve barely even been in the office for an hours, and I’m already leaving with options, and solutions, and that hope that I so desperately wanted but was afraid to have.”

What makes Transitions great? “Everybody was happy to be there, and excited about the process, and smiling.”

What would you tell others?Go. You have to go. That would be there first thing that I would tell anybody, because I don’t think you know what the solutions are until you talk to them. If you are not happy with your hair, you don’t have to stay that way. That’s the most important thing you need to know is if you go to Transitions they’re gonna find the right plan for you, for your individual head of hair, for your individual problems, and they’re gonna help you get the hair that you want. The consultation is absolutely free. I know a lot of people are like, ‘What’s the catch?’. There is no catch. You can go there, and you can talk to them, and you walk right out though. Chances are you’re gonna be signing up, because your going to realize just how many great options there are for you.”
